The most difficult thing in Yoga is practice. It is not the crow pose or shoulder stand. It is following that mundane chore everyday and yet showing up on your mat again the next day.
I always fail at the most difficult task and so I have failed here also. After years of experience I have realized that the only difference between failure and success is being consistent. Also it is not just about practice but daily practice,being consistent and giving your best during that practice. All these ingredients work wonders.
Asthanga Yoga not only heals our body but also provides us a discipline that helps us in other practices. If you want to be a super chef, keep practicing and be there while you prepare the recipes, success will come to you.
However it is easier said than done. To show up everyday for practice and have the same feeling of giving your best to all the poses with full concentration is really difficult.And that’s make all the difference.
And what will keep you motivated. Well something will happen if you keep following this everyday, every week, every month and every year. If you really want to know what actually would it be, you have to follow this journey. No one else could explain you what you will achieve. It is for you to discover. It is your journey and your path.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and
run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths would be
revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or
sounding line.
