It is always easy to make plans but the biggest hurdle is always following it. Even if we start following it, it really takes a lot of discipline to continue and successfully move to the destination. The biggest hurdle is in your mind. If you want to achieve something, you have to tame your mind, tame the procrastination beast that comes up every time. Tame the laziness and tame the negativity. It might sound simple but I believe everything is dependent. Your mental strength is somehow dependent on your physical self and your physical self is very much dependent on your mental strength.
The co-ordination of both mental and physical strength is needed. So, where to start and how to strength yourself both mentally and physically.
There are many ways by which you can make yourself physically and mentally strong. Yoga is one of the ways. It not only helps you to understand your body and your limitations but strengthens you from every sphere. Breathing and meditation in yoga helps you to boost your mental strength while Hatha yoga keeps you agile and fit.
Now the hard part. Before you start anything, you have to strengthen your mind, have a strong determination and a big reason why you should do it. Once you convince your mind on doing a task and have a valid justification, then you should make up a plan. It is human nature to stay in the comfort zone, to be in that inertia. That’s why initial days are important. Your thinking and action on those initial days shape your determination. So, the first step is to gather your thoughts, emotions and think why being physically and mentally fit is important to you. I will share more on this topic in my coming blog post. Till tell, grab a pencil and paper and start thinking.
