Today I am going to address the concern of many women like me who constantly look for a solution to reduce their belly fat post pregnancy. In-fact I regained my old weight within 11 months after delivery. However belly fat is something that I am struggling to reduce.
Belly fat is that adamant fat which refuses to go. It requires really different sort of exercises. I have realized that certain physical activities like running and others are not going to reduce it.There can be minor improvement in that but there will be some significant portion that remains.
Hence I have decided to start this Challenge series with me as a participant.
I will be demonstrating the exercise that I follow and for the time period I do.There will be certain asanas I will be more concentrating.
In articles concerning the reduction of the belly fat, a special attention is also given to the diet.I will admit that this is a thing where I have failed miserably. It is very tough for me, to reduce the intake of rice, tea and potatoes. I believe these are the major culprits for a wider waist line.
I have few friends who have amazing self control and they count the calories before eating anything. If you fall into that category then kudos to you. I certainly have to learn a lot from you.
However it is a challenge and I will be strict to myself and will be checking on the excessive intake of anything.
So here are the rules of the games- Challenge series – How to reduce belly fat
- Daily practice some of the asana which target on the belly fat.
- The challenge is on for the next 3 months of the time. If nothing works out then we will again review our plan and think from a new direction and a new angle.
- We will keep checking our progress with in 15 days.
- We will look at the diet also. However I don’t suggest going out of the way and eat everything you feel like. I don’t suggest either to eat nothing. Moderation will be the key word.Since, I have a regular desk job 9-5, I need super energy to keep myself rolling, hence diet is a strict no for me.
Here is a picture of me as of now.
I am categorizing this and other posts with concern of this subject as Challenge series. Here the posts will be of different Yoga asana to be followed for a flat tummy.
If you would like to be more stricter on yourself, here are some more suggestions to reduce belly fat.

P.S: I don’t remember a time when I had a flat tummy. I always put on weight on my stomach first. Hence I don’t claim to have a flat belly after 3 months but I look forward for reduction from the present state.
Hope this challenge works.
