Every day on my way back to home, I discuss with my husband what he has eaten for lunch? He doesn’t take lunch from home and eats at office canteen. So the replies are usually like this: Non-veg biryani, Chinese, Veg Thali with Gulab jamun or Jalebi. Being a food enthusiast myself, I just imagine and sigh!
To keep my calorie intake in check, I take lunchbox from home. But my lunch and breakfast are almost the same. I eat the same chapatti & vegetable for breakfast and carry the same to office. There is no excitement during lunch time.
I don’t want to eat at office also even though the food there is tasty but not good for my expanding waistline. So, I am stuck between two contradicting demands: Good Lunch Vs Waistline reduction.
So, I am always looking for some substitute with food. Earlier I used to have tea, but I switched to curd as an healthy option. Curd is my all-time favorite but it gave my tonsils a bad time.
For some days, I tried orange juice or sweet lime but the vendor was adding more of water than actual juice. I had to return the juice, many a times due to poor quality.
So, next healthier option was fruit bowl. Ahh! a bowl full of those colorful and tasty fruits. It was best for a day or two, then the bowl with multicolored fruit bowl became bi-colored fruit bowl. There was no taste and no excitement.
And, finally I got something that was healthy and tasty. Grape juice!!! Ah, they add taste to my routine food and are low in calories. I wish I get these grapes in all seasons.
