So you have been working out for nearly 6 months and you have only shed a pound. If you are losing hope,I would suggest that there are many reasons for not losing weight and the most important is the food you are consuming.
It is straightforward that if you binge on fast food, cakes, cookies, chips, french fries, sodas, you are not going to see the result soon.Losing weight is 70% about food and 30% about exercise.
So, the first and foremost thing you have to do is to eliminate all sorts of above mentioned food from your diet. Also, don’t think of making an overnight changes in your eating habit. Instead go slow.If you eat cake after every meal, try to eliminate it from the dinner time and then next day consume only half of the portion at lunch time.This approach is more practical. Starving yourself can back fire you.You may be motivated for a week’s time and then back to square one.
So, here goes the first tip.
Tip 1
Eliminate cakes, cookies, chips, french fries, sodas,burgers from your diet. Take baby step. Skip them slowly.
Now you have to balance your meal too. Check out what you are consuming even though it is tagged as healthy. One should never starve but eat in right proportion. Never diet. You need energy to carry on your day’s activity.Lack of energy will make you irritating and more stressful. You may in turn eat more to lift your grumpy mood.Stay away from this.
Eat protein. Try to include more of protein in your diet. They make you feel fuller and you don’t feel the hunger pangs coming fast.Women should eat around 20-30 grams of protein and men should eat around 40-50 grams of protein per meal.
However don’t make it all exclusive protein diet. Have a balance meal.Include fat, protein and carbohydrates in your diet in proportion of 3:2:1
Tip 2
Eat a protein rich diet.
Tea and coffee are elementary part of our life. We consume on an average 3-4 cups per day. With each cup you are adding excess sugar in your body.First try to reduce the consumption of these beverages. In case you find it difficult opt for half the amount of sugar than you are used to. Sugar is the main culprit.You need to flush the excess sugar from your routine.
Tip 3
Eliminate excess sugar.
Our body is 70% water. Drink and keep drinking as much water as you can. Forget about how many times you take loo break.Keep drinking. Aim for at-least 2 liters or 8 glasses of water.

Keep drinking water. Loads of it.
