I created this blog to embark my Yoga journey again and to spread a general awareness about Yoga, which has been a part of my life for last 10 years.
Yoga is not just about asana but it is a complete journey to discover oneself. In Yoga Sutra, Patanjali describes Yoga as ‘chitta vritti nirodhah’ which means restraint or cessation of fluctuations of mind.
In Bhagavad Gita, the sacred book, Krishna explains Arjuna the meaning of Yoga as the science of the individual consciousness attaining communion with the ultimate consciousness.
That superior level of consciousness wherein a purified mind is guided to perpetually meditate upon the atma or soul is designated as yoga and is defined by its result as the primary characteristic of yoga.
Yoga helps us in balancing physical and mental strength. One will be surprised by the benefits of yoga if practiced daily. So, let’s get started towards this beautiful journey, no matter whatever be your reason to start it. Even if we are able to cover an inch of this journey, we should consider us blessed.
